Indoor Air Quality Monitoring

Indoor environments could be characterized by several pollutant sources. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is responsible for environmental air quality index regulation in the United States. This independent agency deliberates that indoor levels of contaminants can be up to 100 times greater than outdoor contaminant level and positioned poor air quality as one of the top five environmental dangers to the community well-being.

Indoor air quality (AQI) broadly refers to the environmental characteristics inside buildings that may affect human health, comfort, or work performance. We monitor AQI because we spend approximately 90% of our time breathing “indoor air”. Unlike outdoor air, indoor air is recycled continuously causing it to trap and build up pollutants. AQI characteristics include the concentrations of pollutants in indoor air, as well as air temperature and humidity. Poor AQI contributes to both short and long term health issues which can lead to decreased productivity, absenteeism, and possible litigation. CERL Provide its services to measure concentration of pollutants according to OSHA and WHO guidelines and Standards.
